FERNANDO DÍAZ, DVM, PhD
Fernando Diaz is the Dairy Knowledge Center’s Editor-in-Chief. Dr. Diaz works as an independent Dairy Nutrition and Management Consultant at Rosecrans Dairy Consulting, LLC. He provides consultation to dairies and feed companies including nutrition and feeding management, forage and crop plans, and research and product development of new feedstuffs, additives and technologies for dairy cows. email@example.com
ALVARO GARCÍA, DVM, PhD
Alvaro D. Garcia is a tenured Professor of Dairy and Food Sciences at South Dakota State University as well as the SDSU Extension Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources. He has traveled the world helping farmers in more than 20 countries. He has written more than 500 technical articles, three book chapters, and presented in conferences worldwide. He currently reviews and edits all SDSU Extension ANR pieces published yearly.
LUIS A. QUINTELA ARIAS, DVM
Dr. Quintela is a Professor in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) since 1994. Dr. Quintela teaches reproduction and his main field of research is the improvement of reproductive efficiency in dairy cattle.
ISHAYA U. GADZAMA, MS
Ishaya U. Gadzama is a Research Fellow at the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria-Nigeria, where he is developing scientific research proposals, assisting in teaching and supervising undergraduate animal nutrition research studies. He also reviews literatures and contribute in writing articles. In addition, he advises farmers on feeds and feeding strategies and feed formulation. He currently volunteers with Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and Farm Coach Agro-Services
JUAN SANCHEZ DUARTE, PhD
Juan I. Sanchez-Duarte is a Researcher in dairy nutrition and forage quality at INIFAP in Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico. During his PhD program at SDSU and the Dairy Forage Research Center in Wisconsin, Juan investigated the effects of using different starch concentrations in combination with protein supplements in dairy cow diets. Currently he is evaluating the nutrient composition of alternative forages used in the dairy industry located at the arid conditions of the Comarca Lagunera, Mexico.
